These lowcountry inspired sauces with a bit of will deliver just the right amount of heat you need to any dish! One dish in particular we think this sauce would really liven up is of course: chicken wings!
Chucktown Stinger Sauce by Lillie’s of Charleston is a lowcountry sauce made with a bit of honey and goes great with any protein imaginable. Bull Hot Sauce by The Flavors of East Hemingway is inspired after bullfighting in Spain and is an infusion of smoked Spanish paprika. Whatever flavor you decide you like best, these wings will let that shine!
Homemade chicken wings are an absolute art, and these wings with this sauce will be the prettiest piece of art you’ve ever seen!
What you’ll need:
Canola oil for frying
Chicken wing parts (24 in all, 12 wings separated into 2)
Bull Hot Sauce or Chucktown Stinger hot Sauce
Blue cheese dip (optional)
Celery sticks (optional)
Combining:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees, heat 3 inches of canola oil in a heavy pot to 375 degrees
Add half the chicken wing parts to the oil and fry them until they're golden brown and fully cooked, roughly 5 to 7 minutes. Remove and dry on paper towels. Repeat with the other wing parts.
In a saucepan, heat up your sauce of choice so its ready to toss. Toss your wings in a large mixing bowl with your warmed up sauce and serve with celery and blue cheese to dip if you’d like.
