Bloody Mary

Bloody Mary’s origins trace back to a Henry’s New York bar in Paris, France where people like Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Gertrude Stein frequented. The flavors of a Bloody Mary are bold and big. Full of flavor with spice and tomatoes, this cocktail can be enjoyed any time of day but is well-known for breakfast or brunch lovers.

We are pleased to carry a new product: The Sun Always Rises Bloody Mary mix to make it easy to create the perfect Bloody Mary on any given day! You know that we are huge fans of supporting local and this product also does that. The mix is manufactured/bottled on HH and is a woman-owned business. It’s made by Gourmet Warehouse.

Below you’ll find the recipe for the perfect Bloody Mary! (p.s. Hemmingway famously said: “if your Bloody Mary lacks authority — add more vodka!” )

Ingredients:

  • The SUN Always Rises Bloody Mary Mix — find it at Binya!

  • Grey Goose Vodka (or a vodka of your choice)

  • Sea Salt (for rim)

  • Fried Bacon (for garnish)

  • Grilled Shrimp (for garnish)

  • Olives (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Mix 3 TO 4 OZ. SUN Always Rises with 2 OZ; Grey Goose Vodka and pour into a container with ice, shake well.

  2. Using your sea salt and a lemon or lime wedge, rim your serving glasses with the salt.

  3. Pour into tall glasses and garnish with a thick strip of fried bacon, shrimp and olives.
