Andrea Smith started 7th and Palm in Bluffton, South Carolina with a real purpose to honor the 1/1/1 giving pledge. Not familiar with the 1/1/1 pledge? 7th & Palm pledges to volunteer 1% of their time to projects and services in the community, 1% of their profits to organziations they love, and 1% of there products through local fundraisers. Art with a cause!

Andrea strives to change how the vast majority of the world views things like a dollar, and hopes that starting this brand as one individual artist will empower others to also put whatever they have to offer out in the world. With 7th & Palm, you can get everything you want, but also rest easy knowing its environmentally conscious, using only 100% recycled papers and eco-friendly packaging whenever they can, and ethical in giving back whatever they can, including time, to their community.

Andrea and her husband moved to South Carolina in hopes of a change of scenery. They wanted water, fresh air, and something other than the city. After arriving, they decided they’d found their new home and have been here now for over eleven years. The Lowcountry has their hearts, with its palm trees, and their two rescue dogs absolutely love it too.

Artwork and shopping doesn’t need to involve spending copious amounts of money, and it certainly doesn’t need to put small businesses on the back burner. By starting this, Andrea hopes to bring more attention to the fact that when you shop small, you’re shopping affordable, high quality items that bring you joy. 7th & Palm takes pride in the small details, so giving their patrons high quality items is never an afterthought.
